All throughout October here at Owings Mills, the Music Department has been very excited to welcome the 2019-2020 school year with the Annual Fall Concert. The Music ensembles at Owings Mills: Orchestra, Band and Percussion have been working very hard learning new songs; ringing in the spooky, chilly season.

All of band, percussion and orchestra hard work and dedication, led to an amazing and successful Fall Concert under the brilliant direction of Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair, Kathleen Russell. Many fun and familiar songs were played at the fall concert including, “Scooby Dooby Doo”, “Monster Mash”, “Colors of the Wind” from Disney Movie Pocahantas and so much more.

The concert was performed in front of many friends, family members, and OMHS teachers/staff, and Russell credit the success of the show to her students, “All of the dedication and hard work students put into our concerts really pay off in the end!”

As the end of 2019 approaches and  it transitions into the holiday season, the music department begins to prepare for their annual holiday shows that never fail to put the school community in the holiday spirit.
